P.M. Salmon fishing

Fished the P.M. for salmon a couple of weeks ago. I don't understand what the big deal about that place is.

Kind of like those bugs you always talk about.

Re: P.M. Salmon fishing

I'm not saying that there weren't fish. There were but...

Hey, lets be fair about the bugs. I can't help it if the Hennies come out to play but don't fall and the Hex, well, read about 'em. You'll quickly learn that they can be very unpredictable.

Re: P.M. Salmon fishing

With the number of people in the 'flies only' water and the fact that there weren't fish anywhere but there, we could have gone "combat fishing" at Tippy Dam and had the same experience with room enought to cast a spey rod.

With that said, we need to plan some more fall trips... who is in and when/where?

Re: P.M. Salmon fishing

I'm thinking that I might be in to going to the Au Sable Oct 24th. Maybe the 17th if I'm not working that Sat. I don't think I want to go salmon fishing that late though. Browns should be spawning or at least staging by then.

Re: P.M. Salmon fishing

I am going this weekend (I think) and taking the wife and the dog.  I'll fish some but it may be more of a 'Fall Color' tour via driftboat.

Re: P.M. Salmon fishing

Where are you going? Not back to the P.M. There won't be enough daylight to get from M37 down to Bowman. I hope you aren't planning on having your poor wife help you launch at Green Cottage.
